Frequently Asked Questions

What is Reflexology

Reflexology is an ancient therapy which involves stimulating specific points on both the feet known as reflexes to promote nervous system balance and an optimal environment for healing to occur.

It is a deeply therapeutic and relaxing treatment.

How long will my appointment last?

Your initial appointment will require some detailed history -taking and will last 75 minutes.

Subsequent appointments are 60 minutes long.

Will my health insurance cover me for reflexology costs?

As a member of the Irish Reflexology Institute, all reflexology treatments are recognised by VHI, Laya and Irish Life. Depending on your level of insurance cover you may be eligible for a refund on some of your reflexology costs.

Can you diagnose me or predict illness/injury?

No, reflexology is not and should not be used as a diagnostic tool. As a therapy it compliments rather than replaces medical therapy. Some people can experience symptom ease from reflexology but it does not replace medical intervention.

How many treatments will I need?

This is very individual and influenced by your unique situation and response to the treatment. Whilst more than one treatment is recommended, the number of sessions you booked is based on what feels right for you.
